The oil separator is the key component which determines the quality of the compressed air discharged from the screw compressor.
Under the correct installation and good maintenance, the quality of compressed air and the service life of the filter element can be ensured.
The air compressed from the head of the main engine of the screw compressor carries oil droplets of different sizes. Large oil droplets are easily separated through the oil and gas separation tank, while small oil droplets (suspended) must be filtered through the micron glass fiber filter material of the oil and gas separation filter element.
Correct selection of glass fiber diameter and thickness is an important factor to ensure filtration effect.
After the interception, diffusion and polymerization of the filter material, the small oil droplets quickly polymerize into large oil droplets, which pass through the filter layer under the action of pneumatic and gravity, and settle at the bottom of the filter element.
The oil is imported through the return pipe at the bottom of the concave of the filter element and constantly returns to the lubrication system, so that the compressor can discharge relatively pure and high-quality compressed air.
